Two highly effective methods of communicating with stakeholders are Newsletters and Text Messages. As an online instructor, weekly newsletters will help engage online learners by providing another venue for them to view course news and upcoming events. Text messages can be sent to students who sign up for the course Remind. Below are artifacts.
Why is ongoing communication in the online classroom important? How does the newsletter differ from mandatory communications?
The online instructor needs to communicate clear and concise expectations so that students will be certain of the expectations. If students are struggling, it is important that as an online instructor, I communicates the students' concerns to all stakeholders. Close communication with the parent(s) is imperative, especially with the parents of those students having difficulty.
