Create 1 - Explore Time Management Tools

Link to five time management tools in your blog. Briefly describe each tool’s use and relevance to the online world.
How is each tool used? Would the tool be most helpful in a personal or professional setting, or both? Explain.

1. Google Calendar / Outlook Calendar; Keeps important events in one place and sends reminders for those events. I especially like the invite feature where you can collaborate with others on projects.

2. Evernote;  Evernote allows you to organized and store large amounts of notes, webpages, and emails.  You can also tag the sources to help track productivity. This is very helpful as a online teacher because website resources can be organized and filed quickly to recall when ready.

3. Todoistis a project management application for personal and professional productivity. It allows users to manage their tasks from a smartphone, tablet or computer. This will be an invaluable tool for me as an online teacher, as there will probably be multiple tasks to complete.

4. Dropbox; Is a cloud based file depository that allows you to quickly save and sort files and retrieve them from any computer or device.

5. RescueTime; A productivity app that measures how much time you are spending on emails, browsing, and various websites.  It provides you with a report at the end of the day that can be used as a reflection tool to make changes to habits that are not productive. I see this app helping me to remember my personal tasks and not let the professional overshadow personal too much.
